Privacy Policy

Egglington ("the bot", "we") is a Discord bot providing moderation, a virtual economy, leveling, Roblox/Minecraft lookup commands, ticketing, and member verification. This page explains what data the bot accesses and stores when it's added to a Discord server.

What we store

The bot keeps a small local database to make its features work. This includes:

• Discord IDs — user IDs, server (guild) IDs, and channel/role IDs the bot needs to remember for configuration (e.g. which role to grant on verification, which channel logs go to).
• Virtual economy data — EggCoins balances, shop items, and inventory contents tied to a user ID.
• Leveling data — XP and level per user, per server.
• Server configuration — settings admins configure via commands, such as the verification role, welcome channel, logs channel, staff role, mute role, and ticket category.

What we do not store

The bot does not persist or log the following anywhere outside Discord:

• Message content — read only transiently to perform a specific command (for example, displaying the first message in a channel), never saved to a database, file, or third party.
• Presence / online status — read live from Discord only to display it back in a command (e.g. /whois), never stored.
• Member lists — read live from Discord's cache only to carry out an action you requested (e.g. a welcome message, an admin economy command), never exported or retained separately.

None of the bot's data is used to train machine learning or AI models, and none of it is sold or shared with third parties, with one narrow exception below.

Third-party requests

Some commands (/ruser, /rvalue, /routfit, /ruserhis, /rgame, /template) look up public information from Roblox's public APIs using the Roblox username, ID, or URL you provide as a command argument. Only that argument is sent to Roblox — no other Discord data is transmitted.

Data retention & deletion

Data tied to your server is kept for as long as the bot remains in that server. Data tied to your user ID (economy balance, inventory, level) persists across servers the bot is in, since it's keyed by your Discord user ID. If you'd like your data deleted, or the bot removed from a server, you can:

• Remove the bot from your server (server-specific configuration is no longer used), or
• Contact us in the support server to request removal of your user data.

Children's privacy

Egglington is intended for use on Discord, which requires users to be at least 13 years old (or the applicable minimum age in your country) per Discord's own Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect data from users who do not meet that requirement.
